It’s one of those movies that you’ve either never seen or you never forget — there is no in-between. That’s it, that’s the ad.
1 — 5/11
Remember, remember, the Fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and Plot. I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason Should ever be forgot.
2 — idea>man
We are told to remember the idea, not the man because a man can fail. He can be caught, he can be killed and forgotten, but 400 years later, an idea can still change the world. I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of ideas, I’ve seen people kill in the name of them, and die defending them.
3 — different/dangerous
I remember how different became dangerous.
4 — meaningless
A building is a symbol, as is the act of destroying it. Symbols are given power by people. Alone, a symbol is meaningless, but with enough people, blowing up a building can change the world.
5 — you’re in jail
You are a prisoner of your own fears, your own greed and ambition. You are in jail
6 — artists and politicians
My father was a writer. You would’ve liked him. He used to say that artists use lies to tell the truth, while politicians use them to cover the truth up.
7 — individuals like you
You are but a single individual. How can you possibly make any difference? Individuals have no power in this modern world. This is what you’ve been taught because that is what they need you to believe. This is why they are afraid. I am here to remind you that it is individuals who always hold the power. The real power. Individuals like me and individuals like you.
